Rita
Segal, CMT
has been practicing massage therapy for over
20 years. When she first graduated, the massage
profession as we know it today was still in it's infancy.
The growth of massage and other hands-on therapies since
then has been truly remarkable--and exciting! She began
practicing massage during her college years, and has
continually taken classes and worked with mentoring
situations to expand her knowledge of bodywork. Her
traditional training was taken at various schools including
Healing Hands, The Academy of Massage, and Lady of Lourdes
Massage School. After graduation it was very natural to
continue to take many different classes, workshops and
seminars to continue to expand her massage and healing work
knowledge and skills.
She has facilitated as a teacher and trainer,
guiding others in the practice of integrating massage with
other healing modalities. She is qualified as a Reiki
Master, and Intuitive Life Coach, as well as being certified
in Raindrop Therapy, Aromatherapy, Foot Reflexology,
Therapeutic Touch, NLP, and is the creator/originator
of Reiki-ma bodywork. She
has touched the lives of many clients through her unique
blend of strength and sensitivity, mixed with humor,
intuition, and total commitment to wellness. Rita's
philosophy is that health is created and maintained from the
inside to the outside.
As such, she believes it is the right and the responsibility
of the individual to choose thoughts and attitudes which
will serve to foster vitality, relaxation and happiness. Her
mission in Massage Therapy is to assist each individual
client to experience the profound enjoyment of inhabiting a
body! She is delighted to be connecting with new people at
Experience Yoga.
Rita's availability is flexible and
every effort will be
made to ensure a convenient appointment time. Please try to
schedule 24 to 48 hours prior to your desired appointment time.
Rita practices

Linda
Mimm, CMT Linda graduated massage school in 2007
from The Therapeutic Massage and Healing Hearts School in
Vineland, NJ. She
feels that massage has amazing benefits for both mind and
body. Linda adapts her approach to specifiaally address her
client's needs and preferences—from deep pressure to
gentle work; from specific pain relief to general
relaxation. Linda finds it very rewarding to know that her
warm and comforting touch has had a positive effect on her
clients well-being. She also finds that massage is a way for
her to self-center and be present with herself.
Taking continuing
education classes or seminars has been very rewarding for
Linda. One of the most
beneficial classes she has taken involves the technique of
Medi or Massage Cupping (which is a negative pressure from
normal massage.) A
favorite area for massage cupping is on the broad area of
the back. Larger cups are used for this, and a strong vacuum
will mimic the rolling action of deep-tissue massage without
any discomfort. The movement may be long and intended to
drain fluid, or circular and stimulating for stubborn knots
and areas of rigid tissue. The skin will turn red with
strong massage cupping, indicating that circulation has been
brought to the surface. Clients
often feel deep warmth during the session and a tingling
sensation long after the treatment has ended. Massage
cupping is not an irritant to the skin or body. It draws the
inflammation out, yet does not add to it. Adding
an optional massage cupping to a treatment is an additional
charge of $10.00 per session.
Linda
practices
Therapeutic Swedish, Deep Tissue, Aromatherapy, Prenatal and Myofascial massage.
